Thousands face life on the streets this winter

Hundreds of restaurants are helping with StreetSmart

Eating out? Helping the homeless is easy.

Bullet 1

Eat at a participating restaurant

Bullet 2

A £1 donation is added to your bill

Bullet 3

100% goes to local charities

This has got to be the smartest, most effective and enjoyable way of doing a little something for homelessness that’s ever been conceived of.

Richard Bacon, StreetSmart Patron and Broadcaster

Run a restaurant? Helping won’t cost you a penny.

Electronic tills record donations, so administration is minimal. Just collect the total amount at the end of each month or at the end of December and pass it to us. The £1 donation is added to the bill after the service charge and VAT, and so does not affect your VAT returns.

StreetSmart is a fabulous charity that remembers the homeless in our city at a time of year when we should be thinking about others. More importantly, our guests agree.

Marcus Wareing, Chef, Restaurateur

StreetSmart is low in bureaucracy and high on delivering. We may not be able to solve the question of homelessness but at least by doing something we, in some way, diminish its tyranny.
