This Christmas, street food vendors at KERB Market, The Gherkin, will be raising money for StreetSmart.
On Thursday 21 December, between 12-2pm, vendors including MyPie, Project Sandwich and The Rib Man will be cooking one-off specials and donating 25% of every dish to raise money for their local charities. MyPie will be creating a Christmas pie exclusively for StreetSmart whilst Project Sandwich, who will be collaborating with The Xandwich, have a roast pork sub with cranberries and crackling crumble in the pipeline.
“We want to offer homeless people work as well as support,” said Ollie Hunter, Head of KERB Community. “Street-food is not as high pressure as restaurant kitchens and is a great way to do this.”
